Subject leaders and senior leaders have given detailed considerable thought to planning an outstanding curriculum at Wilsthorpe. We have carefully chosen topics and texts in order to stretch and extend students’ learning from primary school. We then sequence them in such a way that students can accumulate knowledge and skills in a staged way, returning periodically to material (known as interleaving), to ensure depth of learning, as well as breadth.
At GCSE and A Level, we have selected individual courses – subject by subject – which offer our students the most stimulating learning experience and the best opportunity for examination success. A list of all of our courses and specifications at Key Stages 4 and 5 can be found here.
