There were celebrations on Thursday August 17th at Wilsthorpe School as students arrived to collect their A Level results.
Despite the national dip in the number of top grades, students at Wilsthorpe School, part of The Two Counties Trust, have again bucked the trend with students obtaining the best grades in the school’s history. Over one-third of all grades were awarded an A* or A grade, with a further third of grades awarded a B grade.
Such results included many excellent individual outcomes, with a record number of students going on to study at the country’s leading Russell Group universities.

“I’m delighted with this set of results. Each student has done themselves, their community and our school proud. This year’s results are a culmination of five years of ambition, teamwork and high-quality teaching; I would also like to recognise the outstanding work of our teachers and support staff. We look forward to welcoming a record number of students into Year 12, from both Wilsthorpe and other schools, for the new academic year that lies ahead”.
