Derek Hobbs, Headteacher of Wilsthorpe School, said:
“It has been wonderful to watch our students collect their results and celebrate their achievements with their friends, families and teachers. As a school, we are delighted that, for only the second time in the school’s history, more than 50% of our students have achieved both English and Maths at a Grade 5 or better.
“In spite of the return of grades to 2019 levels nationally, our students’ grades remain higher than any pre-pandemic year. Heartfelt best wishes and congratulations to all students and we look forward to welcoming many of our students back in September to join our Sixth Form.”
